Snoe Glam Jam Vitamin-Enriched Lip & Cheek Stain in Scarlet Review

After trying Snoe's Lippy Cheeky (you can read my full review here) and getting disappointed I decided to give their lip and cheek tints another try by purchasing their Glam Jam in the shade Scarlet.

Glam Jam Vitamin-Enriched Lip & Cheek Stain Scarlet
Snoe Glam Jam Vitamin-Enriched Lip & Cheek Stain in Scarlet
20oz / 5.75ml
(P 159)

What it claims:

Directions

Smile! Apply onto the apples of your cheeks. Blend quickly and thoroughly with fingertips. Apply on lips and blend. Repeat for a deeper color ‘pop’.

Warnings: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes--should contact occur, flush thoroughly with water. Discontinue use if rashes or irritation appear. Keep out of reach of children. If ingested, get medical help or contact a poison control center immediately.

Verdict:

Sadly, this did not do any better than Snoe's Lippy Cheeky. Although I really like the red shade of this lip and cheek stain, I am quite saddened by the fact that it doesn't stay put on either my cheeks or my lips. In fact it stains my fingers really bad and it can't be removed by alcohol or wipes. The color also settles in the middle of my bottom lip which looks very weird and unpleasant to look at. This product was a miss for me. I hope Snoe will create a better formulation for their lip and cheek stains in the future.

Snoe Lippy Cheeky Antioxidant Lip and Cheek Stain in Maraschino Review

Lately, I've been very fond of lip and cheek tints. These babies double as a blush and a lippie! I decided to try Snoe's Lippy Cheeky Antioxidant Lip and Cheek Stain in the shade Maraschino.

Lippy Cheeky Antioxidant Lip and Cheek Stain with Pomegranate + Acerola Cherry + Acai Berry Maraschino

Ingredients List

Aqua (Water), GlycerylPolymethacrytate& Propylene Glycol & Propyl Paraben& Methyl Paraben, Butylene Glycol, Malpighiaglabfa (Acerola) Fruit Extract, PunicaGranatum (Pomegranate) Seed Extract, EuterpeOleracea (Acai Berry) Fruit Extract, CI 45430, CI 17200, CI 19140, CI 420901, Fragrance

Featured Ingredient

Acai Berry

Acai Berry is a natural product and improves the body’s ability to heal itself by removing harmful free radicals in the body. In addition to antioxidants, acai supplements contain phytonutrients and vitamins for proper skin regeneration. It is the most powerful and nutritious fruit in the world. It contains the highest level of antioxidants, higher than any fruit.

Verdict:

I really love the pinkish red tint of this product. The packaging is uber cute and the applicator is pretty unique yet functional. Unfortunately, that sums up what I like about this lip and cheek stain. I wanted to love this product so much but it just failed to perform. Once applied to both my cheeks and lips it doesn't really last that long. It fades within an hour or so which is very disappointing considering the color pay off is really nice. It gives off a sheer natural looking flush of pink that is buildable if you want a bolder and brighter hue. I won't throw it away 'cause I payed a hefty amount for this lip and cheek tint but I will probably just use this if I'm going for a quick stop somewhere.

Snoe Magic Beso Balm Color Changing Lip Treatment Review

Before I start my review on Snoe Magic Beso Balm Color Changing Lip Treatment let me just say that my lips are sahara desert dry. I don't know why but that is basically the reason why I prefer using tinted lipbalms for daily use rather than lipsticks.

Verdict:

I've been using this product for quite some time now. Snoe Magic Beso Balm Color Changing Lip Treatment is a staple in my make-up kit. Why? Well I love how this is a lip balm and a color changing lip treatment rolled into one magical tube! As I've said I have really dry lips that need extra moisturizing products for everyday use and Snoe's Magic Beso Balm is my lippie of choice! It gives my lips that natural flush of pink without sacrificing the state of my puckers. The result? 'Just bitten' looking lips with a punch of moisture! I definitely recommend this to girls who have sensitive/dry lips or for those of you who simply want to give your puckers a break from lipsticks. This is the perfect alternative!

Etude House Correct & Care CC Cream in #2 Glow Review

I've been meaning to make a review of Etude House' CC Cream specially now that it has become a constant staple in my make-up kit. I literally use this on a daily basis. Yes, it's that good. Here's why:

Basically, this color correcting cream contains eight benefits in just one tube!

Benefits

  • Anti-aging
  • Stress relief
  • Hydration
  • Whitening
  • Sun Protection
  • Tone-up
  • Smooth texture
  • Luminosity

You can choose from two variants, #1 Silky or #2 Glow. The difference? Silky is specially made for oily skin and has a matte finish, while Glow is for dry skin and has a luminous or dewy effect.

This is what the packaging looks like:

Etude House Correct & Care CC Cream in #2 Glow
35 mg
(P 798)

What it claims:

This multitasking, 8-in-1 formula hydrates, primes, conceals, treats and protect skin at an easy single step for a healthier complexion, inside and outside. It glides on with a glowing finish.

Directions

Apply liberally and blend evenly with your fingertips for natural, sheer coverage. Use it alone or layered under your favorite foundation for more coverage.

Swatch

Verdict:

The sales lady suggested that I try the Glow one since I have a combination skin type. I was actually very glad that I got this variant since I wanted a make-up base that gave my face a dewy effect. I super love how this CC cream gave me a radiant glow. It made my skin look lit up from within! My face looks absolutely luminous whenever I use this product. It's very easy to apply. I don't use any make-up brush at all, just my fingers. I simply dispense one pump of the cream onto my fingers then I gently apply a dot on my cheeks, forehead, chin and nose. After which  I rub the product evenly using a circular motion. The result? Glowing skin! It doesn't cover imperfections much but it gives you that fresh faced look. It's like you got a full night's sleep! My face looks well moisturized and refreshed! I often use this cream alone since I am not prone to acne break outs but for those of you who want better coverage you can apply either BB cream or foundation then set it with compact or loose powder to make your make-up last all day.

Sophie J'adore Matte Lipstick in Mango Peach Review

I really have a penchant for products that are cheap yet effective. Sophie's line of matte lipsticks called J'adore nailed both! There are ten shades available and their best sellers are in the shades, V.I. Pink and Ice Pink.

Swatches

Sophie J'adore Matte Lipstick in Mango Peach
3.8 g
(P 85)

What it claims:

Moisturized lipstick to keep your lips' natural softness.

Verdict:

This lippie is extremely budget friendly. Some of you might be confused as to why the lipstick swatches claim that this product is seventy nine pesos only. There has been a six pesos price increase since then and I think it is a small amount to pay for an affordable and good quality lippie. The formula isn't very moisturizing for me but it isn't very drying as well. Honestly, I didn't notice the matte finish but despite that the peach color looks really nice on the lips. I still apply lip balm beforehand so that my puckers will look well moisturized. All in all I really like the shade and the color pay off of this lipstick.

Verdict:

I recently got addicted to peach shades of lippies so I was instantly attracted to the Just Peachy shade of Snoe's Rouge Deluxe Complete Lip Care. The color pay off is very rich, colorful and vibrant. Sadly, the lip stick isn't as moisturizing as I expected. I still find myself applying some sort of moisturizer or lip balm on my lips prior to the application of this product. What I really like though is the unique shades Snoe offers to their customers. You can find shades of pink, brown, peach, red, plum, nude, purple, mauve, etc. It really is difficult to pick just one color! I am looking forward to buy their Vintage Rose and Cream Puff shades!

Etude House Chocolate Kiss Perfumed Lip Set in #1 Pink Kiss Review

Last April I went to SM Manila to buy a debut gift for my friend. While I was in the mall I decided to check Etude House and lucky for me, they were selling Chocolate Kiss Sets! I happily excited the store with my very own Chocolate Kiss Perfumed Lip Set.

Etude House Chocolate Kiss Perfumed Lip Set in 01 Pink Kiss
(P 498)

(FR: L-R; Lip Essence [10 g/0.35 oz.] and Lip Tint [3.3 g/0.11 oz])

 Lip Tint

What it claims:

This is a perfumed lip set consisted of a lip essence and lip tint that keep lips smooth and moist for soft, chocolate kissed lips.

Directions
  • Lip Essence: Disperse a certain amount and spread evenly onto entire lips.
  • Lip Tint: Dab lightly onto center of lips or spread evenly onto entire lips.

Caution
  1. Use only as indicated.
  2. Avoid storing in high and low temperatures and areas exposed to direct sunlight.
  3. Cease use if problems arise.

Verdict:

There are two shades available and I got the Pink one because the Peach appeared to be a bit orangish when I took a swatch of it on my hand. Both lippies smell like apricots! The color looks very natural on the lips. It's like your natural lip color only better! The lip tint is actually lip stick while the lip essence appears to be a lip gloss. I basically spread the lip tint all over my lips then I top it off with the lip essence. The best thing about the lip stick is that I do not need to apply lip balm before using the product since it is already very moisturizing on it's own. The lip gloss on the other hand adds a touch of shine without being too sticky or runny. They complement each other so well! The staying power isn't very long but this is great for everyday use especially for school girls.

Darkness Paris Auto Eyebrow Pencil in 05 Grayish Brown Review

Hello dearies! Last month I discovered my eyebrows' newest best friend and it's called Darkness Paris Auto Eyebrow Pencil! I bought several of these handy eyebrow liners in CNA, a Korean accessory store near my school. This product comes in six shades namely, 01 Black, 02 Gray, 03 Brown, 04 Dark Brown, 05 Grayish Brown and 06 Light Brown. You can view the swatches below.

(c) Darkness

I ended up buying the 05 Grayish Brown shade since the branch that I visited only had 01 Black, 02 Gray, 05 Grayish Brown and finally Grayish Black, which I believe is a new shade. This is what the product looks like:

Darkness Paris Auto Eyebrow Pencil in 05 Grayish Brown
(P 80 each)

This is what the dual ended sides look like:

Verdict:

I bought the Grayish Brown shade since it suits my hair color the most. I think Black is perfect for girls who are blessed with jet black hair. Gray would look lovely on senior citizens who have salt and pepper mane. Brown, on the other hand will look good for those who have lightly colored brunette hair while Dark Brown is great for girls who have dark locks but do not want to fill in  their eyebrows with a black liner. Grayish brown, which is the shade I bought is lighter than Dark Brown and has a more natural finish. Lastly, Light Brown will go well with blonde hair.

Darkness Paris Auto Eyebrow Pencil is dual ended. One side is used to fill in the brows while the other side has a spoolie brush meant to blend the color to give your eyebrows a more natural look. I was a bit skeptical at first to purchase this because I have never tried to use an eyebrow liner before. I am more accustomed to eyebrow mascaras like E.L.F.'s Eyebrow Treat and Tame. Though, I have to say this product is very easy to use. In fact, I had no trouble applying it on my first try! It glides on smoothly and if you accidentally commit a mistake you can easily smudge it out with your fingers. The brush does an awesome job of blending out the color equally all over my eyebrows as well! The only down side is that it doesn't stay all day long but I have never found it a nuisance to re-apply. Overall, I will definitely recommend this to girls who want to define and groom their eyebrows for an affordable yet good quality product!

Shawill Pretty Color Liquid Eyeliner in No. 09 Review

Back to reality tomorrow so I'm making the most out of the last few hours of my freedom by blogging about one of my favorite eye liners. I'm not very fond of liquid eye liners because they easily dry up but Shawill's Pretty Color Liquid Eye Liner is an exception. The formula is water-based so unlike other liquid types this can be used for a looong period of time. It doesn't look fancy but it does wonders for the eyes!

Shawill Pretty Color Liquid Eyeliner in No. 09
(P 98)

What it claims:

A rich colour liquid eye liner that combines, long lasting wear with a non-smudge, non-flake precision line. Goes on effortlessly. Applies with its own brush to draw a perfectly defined line. Available in a wide range of classic and trend shades.

Verdict:

I have this liquid eyeliner in metallic brown, pink, blue, purple, blue green (see picture above) and silver. Aside from it's wide array of colors to choose from, it is also very cheap and yet it gives stunning results! As a student I love buying affordable but good quality make-up products. Shawill's Pretty Color Liquid Eyeliner is a gold mine! The pigmentation isn't very dark so it's very wearable for everyday use. It's a great eye shadow topper as well. The brush is really nice cause it dispenses the product thinly so you can choose if you want your eyeliner to look thin or thick depending on your preference. I have to warn you though that the product may settle but you only need to shake it a few times and voila! It looks good as new! I have my eye out for the black color next!

E.L.F Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 in Apricot Beige Review

When I first became a make-up addict I was a big fan of tinted moisturizer. Then there was a Beauty Balm Cream invasion in the country and I soon swapped mine in favor of BB Cream. After some time though, I realized that I am actually a tinted moisturizer kind of girl. I wanted to try Myra's Tinted Moisturizer but I can't seem to find it anywhere so I got E.L.F Essentials Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 in Apricot Beige instead. I have already tried the E.L.F Studio's variant and it has higher SPF content compared to this one. I believe it has SPF 20. I'm in the shade Ivory but when I checked their stall there were only two shades left, Honey and Apricot Beige. The sales lady recommended that I get the later one since it is the lighter color of the two shades available. Packaging wise, it is very simple and looks like this.

E.L.F Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 in Apricot Beige
(P 129.75)

What it claims:

Anti-aging formula combats premature aging and protects against sun damage while leaving skin radiant and moisturized. The tinted color evens skin tone for a natural look.

Directions:

Massage a pearl-sized amount into skin and neck daily.

Ingredients:

Benzophenone-3, Octyl Methoxycinnamate, Titanium Dioxide, Aqua(Water), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Kaolin, Titanium Dioxide, Talc, Mica, Octyl Palmitate, Glyceryl Stearate, Synthetic Beeswax, Stearic Acid, Stearyl Alcohol, DEA-Cetyl, Phosphate, Propylene Glycol, Magnesium Aluminum, Silicate, Phenoxyethanol, Triethanolamine, Xanthan Gum, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Ethylparaben, Fragrance(Aroma), Disodium EDTA, Iron Oxides(CI 77491 , CI 7492 , CI 77499)

Verdict:

A little of this product goes a long way! I love the scent which smells very good! The tube type packaging makes it easy to tote around. I also like the screw cap cover and the tip of the tube because it gives me control over the amount of product that I want to dispense. It feels light weight once applied to the face. A little sticky, but tolerable. Sometimes, I mix this with Skin White's Face Cream Powder in White and it makes my face feel so smooth. It's one of the best combinations I have ever tried! This is also great for people who are frequently exposed to the sun since it has added SPF.

Maybelline Lip Polish in Glam 13 Review

I always wanted a lippie that is not only  moisturizing but glossy as well. I think I got both in Maybelline's Lip Polish! Originally I wanted to get a red shade but my mum suggested that I go with this color since it will make me look my age. The sales lady also informed me that this is one of their bestsellers so I didn't think twice about buying it. The packaging is very simple yet chic.

Maybelline Lip Polish in Glam 13
(P 249)

*Without flash

*With flash

What it claims:

Lip polish is designed to transform ordinary lips into an alluring pout. It is a 3-in-1  potion which harnesses the best qualities of a balm, lipstick and lip gloss.
The trio of Concentrates include:
  1. Potent Color Extracts: Pure saturated color pigments that provide deep, intense color like a lipstick.
  2. Concentrated Liquid Balm: Moisturizing liquid conditioning balm gets the lips ready for intensely rich color. Gives a soft cushiony feel and care to the lips.
  3. Glossy Shine Serum: Built-in glossy top-coat, that makes lips look fuller and more luscious.
Specially designed leaf-shaped applicator which makes application quick and precise.

Verdict:

I absolutely love the nudish pink shade of this lippie! It's so versatile and goes with everything! I was surprised of the color because when the sales lady applied some on her lips it looked almost nude. Upon trying the product for myself it appeared to be a pinkish shade. The lip polish looks nude when the photo taken has no flash and pinkish when taken with a flash. It glides on like a lip balm but the color is pigmented like lip stick and the finishing touch is glossy, almost like you applied some lip gloss! However, it does feel a bit heavy on the lips and one has to constantly apply a coat or two because it doesn't last very long especially if you drink or eat something. Personally I don't have a problem with re-applying but I wouldn't recommend this to girls who like their lippies to last all day long.

Radiant Orchid Lippie + Faux False Eyelashes

Hello again everyone! Some of you might not have any idea of what the color of the year is... it's RADIANT ORCHID!!! Radiant Orchid is a beautiful purplish pink hue that can be worn on the eyes, cheeks and even on the lips! The color looks gorgeous on various garments as well. Today I am going to show you how to wear the color on your lips.

I wore this make-up look to school once since we had a speech to be given to the class. Unfortunately, it got post-pone... but that's fine with me because I was asked by my grandfather to run some errands that day. As you can see from the pictures above, I focused on my eyes and lips. This is a very natural look which can be worn to school. I emphasized my lips by swiping on lipstick in a shade close to Radiant Orchid and I made my lashes look longer and thicker by applying several coats of mascara.

What I have on My Face:
- Garnier BB Eye Roll-on in Natural
- E.L.F Tinted Moisturizer in Apricot Beige
- Skin White Face Cream Powder in White
- Sophie Magic Pink Cream
- G-lish Powder Me Perfect in Sunkissed Gal
- Wdo Blusher
- E.L.F Eyebrow Treat & Tame in Medium
- Nichido Eyebrow Gel
- Fashion 21 Double Up Mascara
- Fashion 21 Waterproof Mascara withe Lash Conditioner in Black

Ever Bilena and Careline Haul + Product Reviews!!!

Recently I bought a few Careline lippies for my mum and I. My mum was generous enough to treat me to some Ever Bilena cosmetics as well. Below are the products that I got.

Careline Glitter Lip Balm
(FR: L-R; Apple and Raspberry)
3.5 g
(P 60 each)

 Careline Lip Balm in Watermelon
(P 60)

*I gave this lip balm to my mother so I haven't actually tried the product yet.

(FR: L-R; Ever Bilena Lip&Cheek Tint in Redd
Advance Lip&Cheek Stain in Very Red
Famous Lipstick in Watermelon)
(P 75, P 135, P 160 respectively)

Product Reviews:

Careline Glitter Lip Balm in Apple and Raspberry

Verdict:

I first saw this product on television and it instantly caught my attention. I have never heard of a glitter lip balm before. There are numerous lip glosses and lip sticks that offers a glittery effect on one's lips but a glitter lip balm? That's not common at all. In fact it's downright difficult to find... well not anymore! Careline has solved that problem for us girls. This product comes in six different flavors; Apple, Grapes, Lemon, Orange, Raspberry and Strawberry. I was able to get a whiff of all six and what really stood out to me was the Apple and Raspberry scent. The formula of the product is surprisingly moisturizing. I was also surprised that the glitters turn out to be the color of the lip balm you picked. For example, the Apple flavored glitter lip balm results in green glitters and the Raspberry variant has fuschia glitters when applied to one's lips. You might think that the green glitters look weird and unflattering but it actually adds a luminous glow to your puckers! Some of you might be mislead that this is a tinted lip balm so let me just clarify what the product actually does. It adds shimmer to your lips but not color. It's perfect to put on after you've applied your lip stick for a glittery finish. I usually alternate between the two so that I end up using both lip balms evenly.

Lip&Cheek Tint in Redd

Verdict:

This product comes with a doe foot applicator which I happen to really like since it is easier to apply the tint on both my lips and cheeks. I know a lot of people are not a fan of this type of applicator because they find it unhygienic but it's fine with me. I don't finish the lot of the tint if it comes with a doe foot applicator anyway because eventually bacteria gets inside of the packaging and the applicator ends up smelling a little funny. The color is a pigmented shade of red, obviously. The tint is also very buildable. You only get 3 ml of the product but for the price you're paying it's already an affordable find.

Advance Lip&Cheek Stain in Very Red

Ingredients:

Water, glycerin, soluble lanolin, triethanolamine, tocopheryl acetate, carbomer, methyl paraben, propyl paraben, fragrance, CI 45410

Verdict:

The reason why I got this lip&cheek stain is because I see a lot of girls use this product in my school and I can see why. It is cheap, affordable and efficient. This tint comes in a squeeze type tube and you get a lot of product in one tube, 20 ml to be exact. It is a lot like the Lip&Cheek Tint.

Famous Lip Stick in Watermelon

Verdict:

I don't think a lot of people know that I am a big Ms. Bing Castro fan. She is a self taught freelance make-up artist, a beauty blogger and a Youtube beauty guru.  I first read about Ever Bilena's Famous Lipstick in Ms. Bing Castro's blog, The Project Awesome. The shade is a really pretty peach color which I love. I don't have much peach colored lipsticks so I decided to get the Watermelon shade. It glides on smoothly on the lips and you don't even need to apply lip balm prior to that since the product is very moisturizing! I do like to top this off with Careline's Extra Shine Lip Gloss in the shade No. 04.

So that's it for my Ever Bilena and Careline Haul + Product Reviews. I hope you enjoyed reading and stay tuned for more!
