Etude House Correct & Care CC Cream in #2 Glow Review

I've been meaning to make a review of Etude House' CC Cream specially now that it has become a constant staple in my make-up kit. I literally use this on a daily basis. Yes, it's that good. Here's why:

Basically, this color correcting cream contains eight benefits in just one tube!

Benefits

  • Anti-aging
  • Stress relief
  • Hydration
  • Whitening
  • Sun Protection
  • Tone-up
  • Smooth texture
  • Luminosity

You can choose from two variants, #1 Silky or #2 Glow. The difference? Silky is specially made for oily skin and has a matte finish, while Glow is for dry skin and has a luminous or dewy effect.

This is what the packaging looks like:

Etude House Correct & Care CC Cream in #2 Glow
35 mg
(P 798)

What it claims:

This multitasking, 8-in-1 formula hydrates, primes, conceals, treats and protect skin at an easy single step for a healthier complexion, inside and outside. It glides on with a glowing finish.

Directions

Apply liberally and blend evenly with your fingertips for natural, sheer coverage. Use it alone or layered under your favorite foundation for more coverage.

Swatch

Verdict:

The sales lady suggested that I try the Glow one since I have a combination skin type. I was actually very glad that I got this variant since I wanted a make-up base that gave my face a dewy effect. I super love how this CC cream gave me a radiant glow. It made my skin look lit up from within! My face looks absolutely luminous whenever I use this product. It's very easy to apply. I don't use any make-up brush at all, just my fingers. I simply dispense one pump of the cream onto my fingers then I gently apply a dot on my cheeks, forehead, chin and nose. After which  I rub the product evenly using a circular motion. The result? Glowing skin! It doesn't cover imperfections much but it gives you that fresh faced look. It's like you got a full night's sleep! My face looks well moisturized and refreshed! I often use this cream alone since I am not prone to acne break outs but for those of you who want better coverage you can apply either BB cream or foundation then set it with compact or loose powder to make your make-up last all day.

Sophie J'adore Matte Lipstick in Mango Peach Review

I really have a penchant for products that are cheap yet effective. Sophie's line of matte lipsticks called J'adore nailed both! There are ten shades available and their best sellers are in the shades, V.I. Pink and Ice Pink.

Swatches

Sophie J'adore Matte Lipstick in Mango Peach
3.8 g
(P 85)

What it claims:

Moisturized lipstick to keep your lips' natural softness.

Verdict:

This lippie is extremely budget friendly. Some of you might be confused as to why the lipstick swatches claim that this product is seventy nine pesos only. There has been a six pesos price increase since then and I think it is a small amount to pay for an affordable and good quality lippie. The formula isn't very moisturizing for me but it isn't very drying as well. Honestly, I didn't notice the matte finish but despite that the peach color looks really nice on the lips. I still apply lip balm beforehand so that my puckers will look well moisturized. All in all I really like the shade and the color pay off of this lipstick.

Verdict:

I recently got addicted to peach shades of lippies so I was instantly attracted to the Just Peachy shade of Snoe's Rouge Deluxe Complete Lip Care. The color pay off is very rich, colorful and vibrant. Sadly, the lip stick isn't as moisturizing as I expected. I still find myself applying some sort of moisturizer or lip balm on my lips prior to the application of this product. What I really like though is the unique shades Snoe offers to their customers. You can find shades of pink, brown, peach, red, plum, nude, purple, mauve, etc. It really is difficult to pick just one color! I am looking forward to buy their Vintage Rose and Cream Puff shades!

Etude House Chocolate Kiss Perfumed Lip Set in #1 Pink Kiss Review

Last April I went to SM Manila to buy a debut gift for my friend. While I was in the mall I decided to check Etude House and lucky for me, they were selling Chocolate Kiss Sets! I happily excited the store with my very own Chocolate Kiss Perfumed Lip Set.

Etude House Chocolate Kiss Perfumed Lip Set in 01 Pink Kiss
(P 498)

(FR: L-R; Lip Essence [10 g/0.35 oz.] and Lip Tint [3.3 g/0.11 oz])

 Lip Tint

What it claims:

This is a perfumed lip set consisted of a lip essence and lip tint that keep lips smooth and moist for soft, chocolate kissed lips.

Directions
  • Lip Essence: Disperse a certain amount and spread evenly onto entire lips.
  • Lip Tint: Dab lightly onto center of lips or spread evenly onto entire lips.

Caution
  1. Use only as indicated.
  2. Avoid storing in high and low temperatures and areas exposed to direct sunlight.
  3. Cease use if problems arise.

Verdict:

There are two shades available and I got the Pink one because the Peach appeared to be a bit orangish when I took a swatch of it on my hand. Both lippies smell like apricots! The color looks very natural on the lips. It's like your natural lip color only better! The lip tint is actually lip stick while the lip essence appears to be a lip gloss. I basically spread the lip tint all over my lips then I top it off with the lip essence. The best thing about the lip stick is that I do not need to apply lip balm before using the product since it is already very moisturizing on it's own. The lip gloss on the other hand adds a touch of shine without being too sticky or runny. They complement each other so well! The staying power isn't very long but this is great for everyday use especially for school girls.

Darkness Paris Auto Eyebrow Pencil in 05 Grayish Brown Review

Hello dearies! Last month I discovered my eyebrows' newest best friend and it's called Darkness Paris Auto Eyebrow Pencil! I bought several of these handy eyebrow liners in CNA, a Korean accessory store near my school. This product comes in six shades namely, 01 Black, 02 Gray, 03 Brown, 04 Dark Brown, 05 Grayish Brown and 06 Light Brown. You can view the swatches below.

(c) Darkness

I ended up buying the 05 Grayish Brown shade since the branch that I visited only had 01 Black, 02 Gray, 05 Grayish Brown and finally Grayish Black, which I believe is a new shade. This is what the product looks like:

Darkness Paris Auto Eyebrow Pencil in 05 Grayish Brown
(P 80 each)

This is what the dual ended sides look like:

Verdict:

I bought the Grayish Brown shade since it suits my hair color the most. I think Black is perfect for girls who are blessed with jet black hair. Gray would look lovely on senior citizens who have salt and pepper mane. Brown, on the other hand will look good for those who have lightly colored brunette hair while Dark Brown is great for girls who have dark locks but do not want to fill in  their eyebrows with a black liner. Grayish brown, which is the shade I bought is lighter than Dark Brown and has a more natural finish. Lastly, Light Brown will go well with blonde hair.

Darkness Paris Auto Eyebrow Pencil is dual ended. One side is used to fill in the brows while the other side has a spoolie brush meant to blend the color to give your eyebrows a more natural look. I was a bit skeptical at first to purchase this because I have never tried to use an eyebrow liner before. I am more accustomed to eyebrow mascaras like E.L.F.'s Eyebrow Treat and Tame. Though, I have to say this product is very easy to use. In fact, I had no trouble applying it on my first try! It glides on smoothly and if you accidentally commit a mistake you can easily smudge it out with your fingers. The brush does an awesome job of blending out the color equally all over my eyebrows as well! The only down side is that it doesn't stay all day long but I have never found it a nuisance to re-apply. Overall, I will definitely recommend this to girls who want to define and groom their eyebrows for an affordable yet good quality product!
